Associations and Horse Councils

Equine associations, registries and state Horse Councils are invited to look into the many programs offered by AVID® Equine ID.

You can count on excellent customer care, flexible programs and focused attention to your needs. Use a selection of AVID® equine products to custom-design partnerships and
programs that best serve your members.

Example: The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association (TWHBEA) has been providing AVID microchips to its members for years. The TWHBEA office distributes the microchip, along with the blood sample tube to the member.

When the blood is sent to the lab for typing, the chip number goes with it. The blood type certificate displaying the chip number is sent by the lab directly to the TWHBEA office, where the final registration papers are generated. The registration papers will display the horses information as well as the microchip number and the blood type.

"With microchip technology proving to be a positive deterrent to horse theft, as well as providing lifetime identification, the Horsemen's Council of Illinois in cooperation with AVID Equine, the MicroChip Company, is making it easier and less expensive for owners to protect their horses."
